Dr. Basirat Olaide Raimi is a distinguished professional with a multifaceted career. She serves as a peer reviewer and is a research fellow at Ramhaaz Research and Policy Analysis. Dr. Basirat also mentors through the Brunei Mentors for Entrepreneurs Network and is the CEO of Plastic Entrepreneurship Ventures Ltd., showcasing her leadership in business development. Additionally, she is a certified marriage and family counselor. Her expertise spans several fields, including economics, education, human resources management, social entrepreneurship, business development, and counseling.
Her career includes significant roles such as Senior Assistant Registrar/School Officer at the School of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria. She has substantial experience in human resources within government establishments, having served as a Pension Affairs Officer and in various secretarial roles for committees such as the ICT Policy Committee, Network Implementation and Monitoring Committee, Environmental Management and Beautification Committee, and the Committee on Maximum Utilization of Space for Academic Activities. She has also been the secretary for the School Examination Misconduct and Investigation Committee (SEMIC) and the School Board Committee.
Academically, Dr. Basirat holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration (Humanitarian) from the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) in Switzerland. She is also certified as a marriage and family counselor from Timfa Christian University, USA. Additionally, she earned a Master’s in Educational Administration and Planning from the National Open University of Nigeria, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Lagos, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria.
Professionally, Dr. Basirat is a Full Member of the Global Academy for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GAEIN), a Fellow of the African Association of Entrepreneurs, an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), and an Associate Member of the Institute of Management Consultants.
