about us

Plastic Entrepreneurship Ventures (PEV) Ltd is a registered enterprise with Federal Government of Nigeria under the CAC Registration No. 1939530. Plastic entrepreneurship Ventures(PEV) is a social enterprise that is committed to reinventing, recreating and reengineering plastic wastes in Nigeria and other collaborating countries. The idea behind this game’s changing philosophy started years ago but officially commenced in 2021 as an advocate. PEV is a startup in Nigeria that is passionate to educate people, schools and communities on the social and economic opportunities that plastic wastes could be put into despite its nuisance value and threats to the environment. Plastic wastes such as fossil fuels have become part and particle of modern lifestyles, and they are difficult to eliminate using a radical approach.

Unique Value Propositions

It is foolish to repeat ineffective actions hoping to obtain outstanding results. It is also insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results (Albert Einstein). Guided by these maxims, PEV has unique value propositions (UVP). PEV is poised to promote, teach, preach, cascade and disseminate to people, organisations and communities include:

1. Proper plastic disposal (PPD),
2. Poverty reduction by social plastics (PRSP),
3. Plastic waste recycling (PWR),
4. Plastic waste upcycling (PWU),
5. Plastic wastes for aesthetics (PWAs), and
6. Sustainable plastic wastes (SPW).

Our target audiences are individuals in households, schools, supermarkets, industries, mosques, churches, communities, environmentalists, and NGOs with interest in smart cities and regulatory agencies in charge of waste disposal and management. We carry out advocacy through face-to-face and virtual workshops, seminars, community engagement, business plan competitions on plastic waste reinvention and partnerships with government agencies on waste disposal and management. Structurally, the six reinvention models for plastic wastes developed by the PEV are tangible, community-driven, demand-driven and offer people, organisations and communities the opportunity to turn plastic wastes into plastic wealth. In other words, when the six models are properly learnt and implemented, they would make plastic wastes salvaged from both the postconsumer (wastes generated by households) and postindustrial wastes (wastes generated by companies) that all ended up in landfills into creative raw materials for the production of ecofriendly and affordable products. These models have proven to be efficient and sustainable means of reprocessing plastic wastes into useful products, wealth and employment.
